Iowa High School Basketball - Waterloo West nips Mason City
December 2, 2023: Waterloo, IA 50702 Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA), 64-59 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Waterloo West upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Wahawks host Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Prairie won 61-45 in their recent non-league bout against Iowa City West (Iowa City, IA)
Next up, the Mohawks play the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Mason City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 57-49 non-league win over Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA).
