California High School Basketball - Canyon knocked off by Santa Paula
December 2, 2023: Santa Paula, CA 93060 The Santa Paula Cardinals basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Canyon Cowboys to 51 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nordhoff for a contest on Tuesday, December 5. Santa Paula will battle a Rangers team coming off a 83-37 non-league loss to Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA). The Rangers record now stands at 2-5.
With the defeat, Canyon moves to 1-5 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA) to face the Grizzlies in a match on Friday, December 8. The Grizzlies enter the match with a record of 5-2. Golden Valley won 66-63 in their recent league match against Hart (Newhall, CA)
