In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Groves Falcons basketball team scored a good 68-50 win over the Thurston Eagles.

The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against De La Salle Collegiate (Warren, MI). The Pilots come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, De La Salle Collegiate was topped by Freeland (Freeland, MI), 63-61, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brighton for a non-league battle on Friday, December 6. Thurston will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 55-51 non-league win over South Lyon (South Lyon, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.
