December 2, 2024: Herminie, PA 15637 The Yough Cougars basketball squad scored 43 points and held the visiting East Allegheny Wild Cats to 6 in the Cougars non-league victory on Monday.
With the victory, Yough upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Cougars host South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA) to face the Gladiators in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 4. The Gladiators enter the match with a record of 0-2. South Allegheny lost 67-7 in their recent non-league match against Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA)
The Wild Cats now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carlynton for a non-league match on Friday, December 6. East Allegheny will face a Cougars squad coming off a 49-35 league loss to Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.
