December 2, 2024: Coupeville, WA 98239 Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Coupeville Wolves (Coupeville, WA), 53-31 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mt. Baker advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Mountaineers host Orcas Island (Eastsound, WA) to meet the Vikings in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 4. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 0-1. Orcas Island lost 16-4 in their recent non-league match against Granite Falls (Granite Falls, WA)
The Wolves now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Whidbey for a non-league match on Friday, December 6. Coupeville will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 30-12 non-league win over Bear Creek (Redmond, WA). The Falcons record now stands at 1-1.
