North Carolina High School Basketball - Green Hope can't hold off Sanderson
December 2, 2025: Raleigh, NC 27609 Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Green Hope Falcons (Cary, NC), 49-45 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sanderson advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Spartans travel to Riverside-Durham (Durham, NC) to face the Pirates in a non-league match on Thursday, December 4. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 4-0. Riverside-Durham won 58-49 in their recent non-league match against Person (Roxboro, NC)
The Falcons now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Athens Drive for a non-league contest on Friday, December 5. Green Hope will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 60-26 non-league win over Felton Grove (Apex, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-3.
