Lugoff-Elgin Demons (Lugoff, SC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), 62-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lugoff-Elgin upgrades its record to 2-10 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Greenville (Greenville, SC) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 28. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Fighting Green Hornets play the Mid-Carolina Rebels (Prosperity, SC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 28. Aiken will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 79-37 non-league loss to Chapin (Chapin, SC).
