December 20, 2021: Avinger, TX 75630 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX) and the visiting Clarksville Tigers (Clarksville, TX), witnessed Avinger's basketball squad crush Clarksville by a margin of 89-64.
The Indians (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX). The Bears go into the 1A Region III District 24 test with a 8-10 record.
The Tigers now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Linden-Kildare for a 2A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, December 28. Clarksville will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 68-23 non-league loss to Prairiland (Pattonville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 1-14.
