Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC), 59-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chester upgrades its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Cyclones host Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 7. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Centurions play the Brashier Middle College Charter Bengal (Simpsonville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 21. Broome will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Bengal come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 75-50 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Simpsonville, SC).
