Iowa High School Basketball - Waverly-Shell Rock knocked off by Marion
December 20, 2021: Waverly, IA 50677 The Marion Wolves basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks to 52 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Monday.
The Wolves now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maquoketa for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 21. Marion will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 81-79 non-league loss to Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-4.
The Go-Hawks (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Crestwood (Cresco, IA). The Cadets go into the Northeast Iowa bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Crestwood topped Forest City (Forest City, IA), 46-41, in a non-league bout.
