The Cooper Bulldogs basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Mount Vernon Tigers to 40 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rivercrest for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 30. Cooper will meet a Rebels team coming off a 62-33 non-league loss to Cumby (Cumby, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 6-12.

The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Rains (Emory, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 12-8 record.
