North Carolina High School Basketball - Riverside-Martin nudges Holmes

December 20, 2021: Williamston, NC 27892

Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 53-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Riverside-Martin upgrades its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Bertie (Windsor, NC) to confront the Falcons in a 1A Conference 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Bertie won 54-29 in their recent league challenge against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC)

Next up, the Aces confront the Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 21. Holmes will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 39-36 non-league loss to SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC).
