Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Union Dragons (West Union, OH), 48-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Mohawks travel to Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Whiteoak lost 65-42 in their recent non-league bout against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH)

Next up, the Dragons play the Georgetown G-Men (Georgetown, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 22. West Union will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The G-Men go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 38-32 non-league win over New Richmond (New Richmond, OH).
