Texas High School Basketball - Iowa nips East Chambers
December 20, 2022: Winnie, TX 77665 Iowa Yellowjackets (Iowa, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host East Chambers Buccaneers (Winnie, TX), 60-57 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Iowa upgrades its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host South Beauregard (Longville, LA) to play the Knights in a 3A District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 11-4.
Next up, the Buccaneers play the Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. East Chambers will attempt to upgrade on its 15-2 season record.
