Portage Indians (Portage, IN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gary West Side Cougars (Gary, IN), 76-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Portage upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Indians travel to Warsaw (Warsaw, IN) to face the Tigers in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 27. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 4-2. Warsaw won 65-48 in their recent non-league game against South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, IN)

With the defeat, Gary West Side moves to 2-6 on the year. The Cougars host Victory Christian Academy (Valparaiso, IN) to face the Lions in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions enter the game with a record of 8-3.
