New York High School Basketball - Long Island Lutheran overwhelms Stony Brook
December 20, 2022: Brookville, NY 11545 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY) and the visiting Stony Brook Bears (Stony Brook, NY), saw Long Island Lutheran's basketball squad wallop Stony Brook by a count of 91-27.
With the victory, Long Island Lutheran upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to St. Dominic (Oyster Bay, NY) to play the Bayhawks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 21. The Bayhawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. St. Dominic won 69-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Cathedral Prep (Elmhurst, NY)
Next up, the Bears play the Luther Cougars (Maspeth, NY) in a PSAL Area NYSAIS PSAA - Western challenge, on Monday, February 6. Stony Brook will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
