Farmington Farmers (Farmington, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), 58-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Farmington upgrades its record to 3-13 on the season. The Farmers travel to Elmwood (Elmwood, IL) to play the Trojans in a Prairieland bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 10-3.

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans (Bushnell, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 21. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 47-29 non-league win over Rushville-Industry (Rushville, IL).
