December 20, 2022: Excelsior Springs, MO 64024 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lawrence Lions (Lawrence, KS) and the host Excelsior Springs Tigers (Excelsior Springs, MO), saw Lawrence's basketball squad wallop Excelsior Springs by a tally of 62-26.
With the victory, Lawrence improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS) to play the Cougars in a Sunflower challenge on Friday, January 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Shawnee Mission Northwest lost 41-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Notre Dame de Sion (Kansas City, MO)
Next up, the Tigers play the Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Excelsior Springs will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
