Tennessee High School Basketball - Maryville nips Walker Valley
December 20, 2022: Maryville, TN 37803 Maryville Red Rebels (Maryville, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN), 54-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Maryville upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Red Rebels travel to Bearden (Knoxville, TN) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A District 4 bout on Friday, January 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-0.
Next up, the Mustangs play the Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Walker Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 57-48 non-league win over Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA).
