Virginia High School Basketball - Hoover crushes Gate City
December 20, 2023: Gate City, VA 24251 Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA), 88-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hoover upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Jonesboro won 74-41 in their recent non-league bout against Hampton (Hampton, TN)
Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Westside Rams (Anderson, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Gate City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 62-60 non-league loss to Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN).
