Alabama High School Basketball - Geneva holds off Smiths Station
December 20, 2023: Geneva, AL 36340 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Geneva Panthers (Geneva, AL) and the visiting Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL), saw Geneva's basketball squad hold off Smiths Station by a tally of 59-57.
With the victory, Geneva improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to LaFayette (LaFayette, AL) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. LaFayette won 66-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Loachapoka (Loachapoka, AL)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) in a 7A Area 4 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Smiths Station will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record.
