The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors to 46 in the Gryphons non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Gryphons now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherryville for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Thomas Jefferson will battle a Ironmen team coming off a 72-59 non-league loss to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 6-3.

The Raptors (10-1) will now prepare for their contest against Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Warriors enter the Western Piedmont contest with a 6-1 record.
