Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Pocono Mountain West holds off Scranton Prep
December 20, 2023: Pocono Summit, PA 18346 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pocono Mountain West Panthers (Pocono Summit, PA) and the visiting Scranton Prep Cavaliers (Scranton, PA), saw Pocono Mountain West's basketball squad hold off Scranton Prep by a tally of 67-60.
With the victory, Pocono Mountain West improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Liberty (Bethlehem, PA) to confront the Hurricanes in a Lehigh Valley challenge on Friday, December 22. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Liberty lost 54-49 in their recent league challenge against Emmaus (Emmaus, PA)
Next up, the Cavaliers confront the Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 challenge, on Wednesday, December 27. Scranton Prep will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 57-39 non-league win over Dallas (Dallas, PA).
