December 20, 2023: Shreveport, LA 71103 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) and the host Washington Lions (Shreveport, LA), saw Ruston's basketball squad overcome Washington by a tally of 61-45.
With the victory, Ruston improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Franklin Parish (Winnsboro, LA) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Franklin Parish lost 90-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairview (Grant, LA)
Next up, the Lions confront the Huntington Raiders (Shreveport, LA) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Washington will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record.
