December 20, 2023: Blacksville, WV 26521 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Clarksburg, WV) and the host Clay-Battelle Cee Bees (Blacksville, WV), saw Notre Dame's basketball squad hold off Clay-Battelle by a tally of 51-45.
With the victory, Notre Dame improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Fighting Irish travel to Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Trinity Christian lost 64-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Morgantown (Morgantown, WV)
Next up, the Cee Bees play the Doddridge County Bulldogs (West Union, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Clay-Battelle will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 63-24 league win over Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV).
