Kentucky High School Basketball - Marshall County tops Hancock County
December 20, 2023: Benton, KY 42025 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY) and the visiting Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), saw Marshall County's basketball squad knock off Hancock County by a count of 57-37.
With the victory, Marshall County upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Marshals host Christian County (Hopkinsville, KY) to play the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Colonels come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Christian County lost 42-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Union County (Morganfield, KY)
Next up, the Hornets play the Dyersburg Trojans (Dyersburg, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Hancock County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 73-68 non-league loss to Bartlett (Bartlett, TN).
