December 20, 2023: Liberty, MO 64068 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Liberty Blue Jays (Liberty, MO) and the visiting University City Lions (St. Louis, MO), saw Liberty's basketball squad hold off University City by a tally of 52-47.
With the victory, Liberty improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Blue Jays travel to Park Hill (Kansas City, MO) to play the Trojans in a Suburban - Gold challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Park Hill won 50-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Lee's Summit (Lee's Summit, MO)
Next up, the Lions play the Raytown Bluejays (Raytown, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. University City will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 50-39 league loss to Chrisman (Independence, MO).
