Ohio High School Basketball - McClain tops Piketon
December 20, 2023: Greenfield, OH 45123 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the McClain Tigers (Greenfield, OH) and the visiting Piketon Redstreaks (Piketon, OH), saw McClain's basketball squad knock off Piketon by a tally of 47-33.
With the victory, McClain improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hillsboro (Hillsboro, OH) to play the Indians in a Frontier challenge on Saturday, December 23. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Hillsboro won 60-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Paint Valley (Bainbridge, OH)
Next up, the Redstreaks play the Zane Trace Pioneers (Chillicothe, OH) in a Scioto Valley challenge, on Friday, December 22. Piketon will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 69-33 non-league loss to Wellston (Wellston, OH).
