Colorado High School Basketball - Standley Lake tops Overland

Standley Lake Gators (Westminster, CO) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Overland Trailblazers (Aurora, CO), 55-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Standley Lake upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Gators host Evergreen (Evergreen, CO) to play the Cougars in a 5A/4A Jeffco bout on Friday, January 5. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Evergreen lost 41-26 in their recent non-league bout against Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO)

Next up, the Trailblazers play the Sand Creek Scorpions (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Overland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Scorpions come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 48-11 non-league loss to Liberty (Colorado Springs, CO).
