Washington High School Basketball - Waterville holds off Columbia
December 20, 2023: Waterville, WA 98858 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Waterville Shockers (Waterville, WA) and the visiting Columbia Lions (Hunters, WA), saw Waterville's basketball squad hold off Columbia by a tally of 22-19.
With the victory, Waterville improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Shockers host Almira-Coulee-Hartline (Coulee City, WA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Almira-Coulee-Hartline lost 64-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Manson (Manson, WA)
Next up, the Lions confront the Cusick Panthers (Cusick, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Columbia will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 47-33 non-league win over Selkirk (Ione, WA).
