North Salinas Vikings (Salinas, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), 57-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Salinas upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Hollister (Hollister, CA) to play the Haybalers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Haybalers go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Hollister lost 75-44 in their recent non-league bout against Milpitas (Milpitas, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors (San Jose, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Gilroy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Aztec Warriors go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 76-2 non-league loss to Piedmont Hills (San Jose, CA).
