The Martin County Knights basketball team (Williamston, NC), was nudged 45-42 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC)

The Bears now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Swansboro for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 21. New Bern will battle a Pirates team coming off a 61-51 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 5-3.
