In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Merced Bears basketball team scored a decisive 71-38 victory over the Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles.

With the victory, Merced advances its record to 5-6 on the year. The Bears travel to Bellflower (Bellflower, CA) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 4-5. Bellflower lost 57-54 in their recent non-league match against Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA)

The Golden Eagles now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Tampa Christian Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Bourgade Catholic will face a Titans squad coming off a 74-69 non-league loss to Bingham (South Jordan, UT). The Titans record now stands at 10-4.
