The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles basketball squad (Rabun Gap, GA), was nudged 66-64 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC)

With the victory, Carmel Christian advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to meet the Ragin' Bulls in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 21. The Ragin' Bulls enter the battle with a record of 3-4. Hickory Ridge won 77-74 in their recent non-league battle against Carson (China Grove, NC)

The Eagles now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Asheville School (Independent) for a NCISAA Carolinas battle on Thursday, January 9. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will meet a Blues squad coming off a 76-39 non-league win over Pickens (Pickens, SC). The Blues record now stands at 8-2.
