The Eastside Eagles basketball squad (Taylors, SC), was nudged 55-50 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC)

With the victory, Hillcrest advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Rams host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to meet the Bearcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 26. The Bearcats enter the battle with a record of 7-2. Hendersonville won 69-49 in their recent non-league battle against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)

The Eagles now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boiling Springs for a AAAAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 7.
