Maryland High School Basketball - Hereford can't hold off Francis Scott Key
December 20, 2024: Union Bridge, MD 21791 Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD) followers were in high spirits Friday as they saw their basketball team nip the visiting Hereford Bulls (Parkton, MD), 46-41 in a non-league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Catoctin for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Francis Scott Key will play a Cougars team coming off a 75-47 league loss to Middletown (Middletown, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, Hereford falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Bulls travel to Southern (Oakland, MD) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Southern lost 63-47 in their recent non-league bout against Keyser (Keyser, WV)
