December 20, 2024: Gilroy, CA 95020 Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), 62-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Pioneer advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA) to meet the Acorns in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Acorns enter the match with a record of 5-2. Live Oak won 69-60 in their recent non-league match against Lincoln (San Jose, CA)
The Mustangs now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Lorenzo Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Gilroy will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 72-42 non-league loss to Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.
