In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Homestead Broncos basketball team scored a good 65-55 triumph over the North Port Bobcats.

The Broncos (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Everglades City (Everglades City, FL). The Gators go into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Everglades City topped Marathon (Marathon, FL), 65-56, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Gulf Coast Sharks (Naples, FL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. North Port will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record.
