Lanier Christian Academy Lightning (Flowery Branch, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV), 76-71 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Lanier Christian Academy advances its record to 11-2 on the year. The Lightning travel to Pineville (Pineville, KY) to face the Mountain Lions in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Mountain Lions enter the match with a record of 3-3. Pineville won 69-59 in their recent non-league match against Estill County (Irvine, KY)

The Redskins now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Estill County for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Hurricane will face a Engineers squad coming off a 81-53 non-league loss to Landrum (Landrum, SC). The Engineers record now stands at 6-2.
