December 20, 2024: Pinckney, MI 48169 Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Pinckney Pirates (Pinckney, MI), 64-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Northwest upgrades its record to 2-5 on the year. The Mounties host Howardsville Christian (Marcellus, MI) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-7. Howardsville Christian lost 53-50 in their recent non-league match against Phoenix (Kalamazoo, MI)
The Pirates now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bedford for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Pinckney will face a Kicking Mules squad coming off a 78-39 non-league win over Whiteford (Ottawa Lake, MI). The Kicking Mules record now stands at 3-4.
