In Friday's non-league test, the Ulysses Tigers (Ulysses, KS) basketball squad got by the host Southwestern Heights Mustangs (Kismet, KS), by a score of 50-48.

Next, the Tigers encounter the Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS) in a Great Western test, on Tuesday, January 7. Ulysses will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 2-3 record after their 51-45 league loss to Goodland (Goodland, KS).
