The Petersburg Vikings basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Union Tigers to 23 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hampshire for a non-league game on Monday, December 23. Petersburg will confront a Trojans team coming off a 48-24 non-league loss to Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV). The Trojans record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Union falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Pendleton County (Franklin, WV) to confront the Wildcat in a Potomac Valley game on Saturday, December 21.
