Nebraska High School Basketball - St. Cecilia toppled by Sutton
December 20, 2024: Sutton, NE 68979 Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE), 54-45 in a league match.
With the victory, Sutton upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Nebraska Christian (Central City, NE) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 5-0. Nebraska Christian won 61-53 in their recent non-league match against High Plains (Polk, NE)
The Bluehawks now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fillmore Central for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. St. Cecilia will face a Panthers squad coming off a 54-22 non-league win over Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE). The Panthers record now stands at 2-5.
