Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Valley View overwhelms West Scranton
December 20, 2024: Scranton, PA 18504 The Valley View Cougars basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host West Scranton Invaders to 21 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now possess a 7-0 record. They play next when they host Carbondale Area for a non-league game on Thursday, December 26. Valley View will confront a Chargers team coming off a 59-39 non-league loss to Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA). The Chargers record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, West Scranton falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Invaders travel to Lakeland (Jermyn, PA) to confront the Chiefs in a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. The Chiefs go into the game with a record of 0-4. Lakeland lost 40-35 in their recent non-league game against Forest City (Forest City, PA)
