December 20, 2024: Amherst, VA 24521 The Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA) basketball edged the host Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), 46-40 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Rockets now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Highland for a non-league bout on Friday, January 3.
With the loss, Amherst County falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to James River (Buchanan, VA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 5-4. James River won 24-5 in their recent non-league bout against Northside (Roanoke, VA)
