Michigan High School Basketball - Romeo can't hold off Dakota
December 20, 2024: Macomb, MI 48044 Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Romeo Bulldogs (Romeo, MI), 53-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Dakota advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Cougars host Pershing (Detroit, MI) to face the Doughboys in a non-league match on Sunday, December 22. The Doughboys enter the match with a record of 1-1. Pershing won 46-45 in their recent non-league match against Southeastern (Detroit, MI)
The Bulldogs now own a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Utica Eisenhower for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. Romeo will face a Eagles squad coming off a 41-28 non-league loss to Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 0-6.
