California High School Soccer - Loyola nudges Montebello
December 20, 2024: Los Angeles, CA 90006 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Montebello Oilers (Montebello, CA), saw Loyola's soccer squad hold off Montebello by a count of 2-1.
The Cubs (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Broncos enter the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Brophy College Prep tipped O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Oilers battle the Poly Bears (Riverside, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, December 21. Montebello will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 7-1 record after their 3-1 league win over Citrus Hill (Perris, CA).
