The Vergennes Commodores basketball team (Vergennes, VT), was trounced 77-54 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Harwood Highlanders (Moretown, VT)

The Highlanders (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT). The Vikings come into the Capital challenge with a 1-1 record.

In their next game, the Commodores meet the Spaulding Crimson Tide (Barre, VT) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 27. Vergennes will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
