Illinois High School Basketball - Vernon Hills knocks off Metea Valley
December 20, 2025: Aurora, IL 60502 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars basketball team scored a good 41-26 win over the Metea Valley Mustangs.
The Cougars (11-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Lincoln-Way West topped New Trier (Winnetka, IL), 64-52, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 22. Metea Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Trevians enter the match with a 5-8 record after their 64-52 non-league loss to Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL).
