South Carolina High School Basketball - Calhoun County topples Carvers Bay

December 21, 2022: Hemingway, SC 29554

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) basketball squad beat the host Carvers Bay Bears (Hemingway, SC), by a count of 47-34.

The Saints (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC). The Fighting Hawks go into the A Region 4 outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Blackville-Hilda defeated Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (Neeses, SC), 57-41, in a league outing.

The Bears now hold a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to May River for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 28. Carvers Bay will clash with a Sharks squad coming off a 54-50 non-league loss to Beaufort (Beaufort, SC). The Sharks record now stands at 3-4.
